I have been lucky to have some really good men work with this blood line. Zack, Justin, and Brock Krasa all put their dogs in the hunts. Ryan Briggs who owned Sage "Fiddles sire " has also stayed with this line.He should Sage was a super dog. In my opinion Old Bone was one of the best reproducers the breed had . he only put out 34 pups . There are a couple more to finish and he will hit 20%. The Reckon dog was another one that put quality dogs on the ground her numbers would have surely been higher had not so many of them got killed while running coon at a young age. All the pups I have now show Fiddle and Doc top and bottom. To me that's a good way to rebuild.
There are a bunch of other very good dogs out there now that I can pick from to work back in in the next few years. Clyde,Mandolin,FiddleII,all have some tuff stuff out of them that have winners showing up everywhere. It's a lot of fun for me to think of ways to put them back together with Reckon and Bone, as well as dogs out of Huck/Fiddle and SandRock/Fiddle blood. One thing is for sure you will see some winners with those names in their pedigree for a long time.
I need a bigger kennel.

Just got in from a quick night out with Ribbon ,3 drops 3 coon no drop took longer than 8 minutes from release to treed. She is going to be something special.

Well ,been hunting these young dogs for a while . Ribbon is ready for the hunts. She will be put in a few to see how she handles. Raddle,has started running track and treeing just a little. Big mouth on her and she will go deep as anything she is with also by herself. Rifle is treeing on a hang up and can run an easy one. haven't started Remington yet.

I would have to say the Ribbon dog is the best young female I have ever had at her age. No lie ,she is the best. To me that is a lot to say. I expect her to make an impact on the breed. She will never have the prettiest pedigree but she is really something .

Hauled "Ribbon" to an English sectional up in NY. She won her cast with +575, -125 for a score of +450. That tied her for 1st place with Derek Metzler's redbone "Skinny" who also had +450, but -0 Derek got the 1st, I got a nice 2nd . NiteCh was also won by a redbone Maggie owned by Adam Frary. A man in the cast ask me to price Ribbon to him, There will be no selling of this dog, sorry.

Ribbon WILL be my next main brood female . I will be breeding her when I finish her to Nitech. I believe she will be a very good reproducer.

Congratulations Derek on finishing Skinny to NiteCh .

i got a dog few weeks ago he is 7 years old
his sir-musical red huey
his dam red reckon darrin gher owned the dam at the time of breeding do you recall this breed i got him he only had been hunted 3 times in his life when he was young i got him put him in shape let him go and he went out and treed a coon i think he is going to make a good pup trainer he has nice maners at the tree just sits and trees let my pups run around tarin it up lol

He is from a very good cross and by the sounds of it he trees exactly like his mother. She was very easy going and would set back and tree. I know there was a male from that litter that had won a first place at a young age and then I never heard about him again. Not sure if this could be the same dog or not. Good luck with him ,he should be a good one for you.

I like the sounds of that. I did a Fiddle daughter to a Kate son once. most of them got wacked on the road while running coon. They had the drive just not alot of "road" sense.

About froze to death, and wanting some warmer weather to run these young dogs.

Got some plans for this year ,need to move at least one good young prospect. Just haven't figured out which one.

Once again I am thinking about the June issue and would like some nice pictures "NEW" please, for this years add. Not sure what I'm gonna do this year but I like to hear about all those winners out there . Good luck to all in 2014.
