Just wondering if any one has good stories of a dog that some one gave them or a pup out of untitled dogs that you gave a chance and it turned out to be a real nice dog?

.....i saw this this young female for sale here on ukc...and it had good back ground breading... i was not a expert on that line of dogs,...but ,...i took a chance and bought her at 1 yr old...i guess she would not take off when un leached...so they put her up for sale... not all dogs meture at the same time in life.
So with alot of patience and wood time...a little frustrating at first..but in my hart i knew.... she could do it....was one pain in the ..butt... in the kennel..barking..bark colar was needed..now she is past that stage of life...growing pains... good track dog .very vocal on track..she is one hell of a tree dog...big mouth...locates 3 long balls then chops....very loud... excellent pup trainer .. ISN'T KATE 2 THE FEMALE OF YOURS THAT I HUNTED AGAINST LAST AUGUST? AND IF I RECALL RIGHT SHE HAS A 1ST PLACE IN THE HUNTS, SHE SURE HAS A GOOD VOICE AND TREES NICE, SHE DID THAT NIGHT, BUT THOSE BIG HEMLOCKS ARE TUFF TO FIND THE COON IN. I WAS HUNTING MY GUN DOG.HER NEPHEW,LOL

I Know of a few Males out there that are just as loud

This little female was on the board for almost 3 months and I was the only person that ever called the guy! At that time I think she was 20 months old! I finally called the guy and asked what his bottom dollar was and he sold her to me for 600 ! She did every thing he said she would but with alot more style than her gave her credit for ! I truly miss this dog and wish I had another just like her !

Last Aug. A six month old male was on here. I picked him up started fooling with him a little bit. Decided to take him with a dog on the river. At this point he had seen Three Squirrels and two coon. Treed on anything I tried with him. That night on the river he struck worked a little short track and was in a hole. At this point I just waited out the hot Summer taking him now and then. This winter after the end of November I started hunting solo and treeing coons with him. He Turned a year old in Febuary. I am tickled to death. I just hope he don't get killed or something stupid happens to him. He is out of to PR dogs with really good back grounds. Heavy Fireball on bottom with Twister and Yellow River with a dose of Sawblade in there. On top is really heavy timber chopper blood. Red Ice is in second Gen. On top.

givin to me by my friend Byron Rhodes as a grade redbone @ 10 mo. old I hunted her til she was 16mo. before I ever heard her bark. always went and stayed with other dogs but never a wim,,,per.one morning at about 2:30a.m. I was awakened by a dog treed about a 100 yds from myI house I went to the tree and found call with2 kitten coon in a sappling I knocked one down with my gun barrell and the rest is history !!
