Everyone is a little different just like all breeds some mature quicker than others. You dont know until ya try. Im new to Redbones owned walkers and blueticks before they all seem like they start about the same to me. It mostly depends on the individual dog I think.

Blood sounds good.

Hunt her as much as possible. Should be fine. Yes some Redbones start a little slow. Some of the slow starters turn out to be real nice hounds.

Some redbones start slow, some don't. On average, they seem a little slower to start than Walkers, but there aren't any hard statistics on that. If she hasn't had a chance at 14 months, there's no way to know until you try. Show her a caged coon and see how she reacts. If she shows interest, walk in with her and encourage her. Do the same as you would with any other young dog--don't push her too hard until she shows some interest.
Some of us are more patient than others. I'd give her until at least two to catch on, some will wait longer, some want results at 6 months. I've heard of dogs that didn't really start until 4, then turned on suddenly and caught on quick. Nothing wrong with her breeding, but not all well-bred pups make it.

Nitech CH Copeland's Stormin Norman

Was a grand pup of Grnitech Hunters Famous Amos. Norman was owned by Jessie Lee Copeland. He lives an hour or so south of you. Norman produced coon treeing machines, but not many where hunted in hunts. We are still hunting that bloodline in Grnitech Copelands Tn sweet Ben. Jessie has a yard full of dogs and head full of knowledge about them. Look him up on the internet and talk to him. The Yellow River stuff did a alot of winning years back and had an impact on the breed as well. Your young dog has the blood in her to do well but it all depends on the boots behind it.

keep her in the wood

Yes the Yellow River breeding is Good Stuff.and the others also.....keep hunting her..i do not know how old she is... but dogs go through stages in life..like kid ...the terrible 2s ...were people get rid of the dog because it is not doing what they think it should do...big mistake....some times all of a sudden a switch turn on in her head and shes got it... .every night out is a learing prosses...the more you do it the bettey they get..to a point..
Good Luck with your pup
