very old coonhunter

I knew an old coonhunter, he used to ride to the woods with a friend of his just to listen from the truck to the dogs run. He was a friend of mine and I got to go the last time he heard a hound run. I asked him how long he had been hunting and he told me his entire life ,83 years .He said he just wished he had more time to hunt and gave me this advise. "you will get old a lot sooner than you think and the only thing you will wish for then is just more time to enjoy the things you love. Don't waste time it is precious."

O how so True. When I bought my redbone and got back into hunting I started going with a guy in his 70s and the first year we had a great time and he was teaching me alot about training my pup. Not long after that season he got real bad shape and had to have heart bypass surgery and all and i still pick him up and he sits in the truck with window down. He maybe limited to staying at the truck but I tell him what happned when I get back from the tree and im still learning alot from him.

my point

Bickering over almost anything is a waste of preciuos time. I'm sure we all already realize this but getting caught in one of these time wasting traps is easy and not of any good.
Just something to think on, not pointed at anyone.
