Best Food to start a pup on?

I just bought a 3 month old redbone. The person I got her from fed her purina puppy chow. does anyone have recommendations for a better food?

DOG FOOD

You will probable get all kinds of answers no this question. every one has there own favorite brand...
For my self i have been using Purina puppie chow.. there are 2 types.. i use (((Tender Morsels)))... wal-mart caries it.good pricing....I feed it up to 1 YR of age ..then use Purina dog chow..after that.. seem to work good for me...i add a little water to it... to help swallowing and they get water at the same time..
to help with digestion ....jmo

I would buy a bag of puppy chow and whatever kind you like, I personally prefer Purina Pro Plan but have seen pups look good on any type of puppy food, I only like PP due to the fact that I have a "tough keeper" here and PP is the ONLY thing he looks good on.

Gradually switch your pup from PC to the feed u prefer. Sometimes a sudden change can give them the runs and more susceptible to get sick and dehydrated.

Raw

Depends on the time of season..for me during the show/work season I give TOTW ..Down time to maintain I switch to puppy chow/4health.The Taste of the wild makes my dogs look more conditioned when properly worked...It's a better food and costs a lot more..but it gives a better edge during show and work season.

Forget all that purina stuff ...it has corn in it . Victor puppy in the red bag no corn ,no soy , no gluten grain free .
Slick ,shiney ,healthy pups !

Thanks for all the feedback. I started her on victor about 2 weeks ago and so far she seems to like it and the results are excellent. For there not to be that big of a price difference between a good grain based feed and grain free, it's well worth the money.
