Have a 14 month old pup hunts hard great track dog nice kill dog hates a coon but won't tree. He's a walker male any ideas how to get him to tree have let him fight coon at tree have tied him back
HE WILL TREE WHEN HE IS READY NOT WHEN YOU ARE! LET IT COME TO HIM ON HIS OWN THE SWITCH WILL FLIP BE PATIENT

I know a guy that can teach your pup to tree but what's the point? Maybe you can too but again, not much point in teaching that.

Stop letting him chew on the coon IF he doesn't tree, just tie him back and let the other dogs have it. IF he's not treeing he doesn't need to be chewing on fur.

Been tieing him back treed some tonight think a couple more times of that and he will be treeing
hunt the hair off him,if hes bred to tree he will go to treeing if he aint he want.
He's breed to tree no drought about that... just keep tying him back showed a lot of promise last night I just gotta be more patient .... that's the hard part when you gotta pup you really like
lol
sometimes when they do start you wish they wouldnt tree so much lol. in all honesty just keep tieing him back, i personally tie them about 15 yards or so away from the tree and have fun with the older dogs that are treeing.
