pup wont tree

Have a 14 month old pup hunts hard great track dog nice kill dog hates a coon but won't tree. He's a walker male any ideas how to get him to tree have let him fight coon at tree have tied him back

I know a guy that can teach your pup to tree but what's the point? Maybe you can too but again, not much point in teaching that.

Stop letting him chew on the coon IF he doesn't tree, just tie him back and let the other dogs have it. IF he's not treeing he doesn't need to be chewing on fur.

He's breed to tree no drought about that... just keep tying him back showed a lot of promise last night I just gotta be more patient .... that's the hard part when you gotta pup you really like

sometimes when they do start you wish they wouldnt tree so much lol. in all honesty just keep tieing him back, i personally tie them about 15 yards or so away from the tree and have fun with the older dogs that are treeing.

i got one that turned 2 once in a while she would bark at the tree runs a good track but no tree some was my fault got hurt and could not hunt didnt know if she would ever tree. just pet him up at the tree last two nights she has blown the tree down you can not count the barks dont give up they will tree when they are ready and have the meat to many times dogs are tree happy because they are forced to tree anything that will climb when they are a pup i want mine to tree coon not everything else
