Why are you here telling us about it? Keep killing them! Don't comeback until they are all "good" snakes!

Seen 3 cottonmouth at the same little hole of water last night while hunting. It is not legal to kill snakes in Arkansas but it is legal to carry a good long walking stick.

Snakes are definitely moving! Killed 1 copperhead last week hunting. And Saturday night my dog got bit on the lower jaw by a copperhead! He was pretty sick the next day; however that night the swelling went down and he was ready to go another round! Them Blue dogs sure are tough!

There aren't any poisonous snakes as far as I'm concerned round that part of ky I been hunting since I was 4 years old I'm 26 spent at least 4-5 years of my life out in the fields, woods and streams fishing, hunting, and farming but I can with my limited knowledge that if you run across a rattler in these parts get a lottery ticket. Never seen one single copperhead and or moccasin either never had a dog bit or any other critter besides a coyote mess up my hunting. That's a fact Jack take it to the bank!

Oh they are definitely around. I would be willing to bet a lot of us has been close and never knew it. If you really wanna get your heart pumping do a google search on "wethington brothers snake". That one was killed in Northern Casey County maybe only an hour away from etown a little over a month ago. I have hunted my whole life and never run into one but did kill one on the road once.

I agree 100% , I live in what's considered the foot hills of the Appalachian mts., its rare to see any poisonous snakes here. But we do have a few. Once you cross into what is known as the bluegrass region(central ky) they are almost never mentioned. Partly because they are just that rare in those parts. I would say your chances of getting struck by lightning are greater than seeing a poisonous snake around there. Hunted my whole life there, and haven't found the first one in central ky. East and southern ky are a little different lol

I sure wish it was that way around here! We have plenty of poisonous snakes in south west Arkansas. Sadly its just a way of life. It'll be that way till it turns cooler. How many out there is ready for Fall? It can't get here quick enough! Deer season! Ya....

I've not hunted much in a month. . I ride around of a eve and kill snakes. Then I get skeered and don't go lol. They are bad this yr. I actually didn't kill those 7 in that first pic. A lady I know killed all those plus another rattler in their woodpile. Id be moving from that place. The one rattler had 11 babies in it.

Any thing worse than seeing snakes while hunting would be seeing my ex wife coming back.
