There aren't any poisonous snakes as far as I'm concerned round that part of ky I been hunting since I was 4 years old I'm 26 spent at least 4-5 years of my life out in the fields, woods and streams fishing, hunting, and farming but I can with my limited knowledge that if you run across a rattler in these parts get a lottery ticket. Never seen one single copperhead and or moccasin either never had a dog bit or any other critter besides a coyote mess up my hunting. That's a fact Jack take it to the bank!
I agree 100% , I live in what's considered the foot hills of the Appalachian mts., its rare to see any poisonous snakes here. But we do have a few. Once you cross into what is known as the bluegrass region(central ky) they are almost never mentioned. Partly because they are just that rare in those parts. I would say your chances of getting struck by lightning are greater than seeing a poisonous snake around there. Hunted my whole life there, and haven't found the first one in central ky. East and southern ky are a little different lol
