Astro 220 question!
How do I get the map on my astro 220 that shows where my dog has been? As of now it only shows a compass, yards and direction the dog is. Any help would be awesome! This is my first Garmin so I'm not to sure on how to use it. Hi tech redneck!

You will have to buy a SD card and load the maps or buy a pre loaded card you can get them from valley creek before you will have a topo map that shows roads streams and stuff. If you hit the map button now with no card it should still show you and your dogs tracks just no map
The best advice I can give you is get your manual out and read it cover to cover, twice! Do not be afraid to press buttons and see what they do!
The micro SD card goes in the compartment behind the batteries, that card will hold your "map data". If you bought this used, it may have one in there already but even though it is there, it may not have any map data downloaded in it for your area.
You can buy these map cards preloaded on an SD card that will be "plug and play" for your area but what is the fun in that? Go to gpsfiledepot.com and and download the map you need and learn to do it all yourself.

You have it in the go-to mode, go to the menu and hit stop navigation.
The only bad thing is it didn't come with instructions lol I bought it used but it works like brand new. I tried it out last night and it went close to 2 miles before loosing communication

There's already a map card in it. Well atleast I think there is. When I put in the batteries I noticed there was a black as card in it
