Conrad I'm impressed with what you've done with Buck. All my life I've heard men look at a dog and say he's out of old so and so. I've always said bs. Breeders can alter the looks of a strain in just a generation or two but I have to say It's not hard to pick out a Blaster dog. I've seen several dogs off Blaster and they might not have the same color but they sure have the same build. Wishing you good luck with all the dogs.

Jack, Thank you for the kind words, Buck has taken us on a fun ride this past year! He is a swamp hunting fool As accurate a dog as i have ever seen, it will be a legitimate den or on the outside no in between.
He now leaves from the tree to go find the next one, and no longer needs a leash in the woods, we have him tone broke to come back when needed, he swam across a creek the other night to come back to us, and he was treed with the meat.
Can't ask for much more from a hound!
Will be getting him collected at BlockSport Hounds in the next few weeks. And have a couple females lined up for this summer

the bawl mouth track dog preference must be more of a competition coon hunting thing im guessing? my old linebred Yadkin river champ male with tree blaster in three gen.was all chop mouth ,but there never was any mistake to what he was doing in the big woods .the minute he caught or treed the bear you knew it.you could also tell how the track was going before that no problem.hearing him was also never a problem when run with bawl mouth hounds just as loud and even louder a lot of the time very easy to pick out.just my experiences with this line of dogs going up over mountains at long distances.

The Bawl mouth is a easy listening (music to the ears kinda a thing) Champ was a chop mouth dog as were most flag bred dogs , loud clear chop mouth. Buck has a loud clear chop, short bawl mouth. Clean clear chop on tree that can be heard a long ways off.

Not sure how to post pics on here and yall may not want em. But a good friend of mine,Keith Davidson ,had a female named Patty, she was a direct daughter of Bellars Pac Man. Keith bred her to Merchants Bawler or Barney, and kept a female outta that litter. Patty was one of the BEST coondogs Ive ever been in the woods with. She made Nt Ch back when titles were hard to get. Keith has several pics of Pac Man and Patty if anyone would be interested in seein them.

Dropped Buck on 2/18/19 he winded before we turned loose, cut him and he went 900 plus and had the meat in under 10 minutes......Just a pleasure to hunt
