Large crock pot, seasoned water, large onion quartered, clean coon quartered with glands and fat removed... Place above in large crock pot until meat comes off the bone.. Pull meat a part and put your favorite BBQ sauce on it...

coon

I clean them up good, get the glands and fat off, cut him up and boil it in big pot with an apple, onion, and a potato until meat can be pick off. Then bake it in oven at 350 with sweet potatos and GOOD bar b q sauce til fairly dryed out. Will make your tougue beat your brains out.

cooking coon

Just take any recipe that uses meat; and use coon for the meat!!!

Coon & rice , coon & dumplings, stew, BQ, coon sausage, coonburgers, fried, roast, etc!!!!

For NOVELTY you could butcher one and have little bite size steaks!!!!

The main thing, is to remove the scent glands.

The bottom line!!!! Don't consider it as COON MEAT!!!! Just think of it as Meat and cook away!!!!
