I was at work. I remember hearing it on the radio. I was 22 and married with a 2 yr old. Scared to death, not knowing what it really meant for me, my family or the USA at that point. I kept hearing people at the plant say... No money, electric, food,etc..... I was terrified, all I could think was my baby, what in the world does this mean for him, possibly no food, money, electric... My husband being a NAVY veteran, is my rock, the one that I turn to.When I called my husband, he reassured me everything was gonna be fine, it was a very bad thing that had just happened, but we were gonna be ok! That kinda relieved me a bit, but hearing the conversations of other people at work, really kept me on edge. Sept. 11th is my dads birthday in which he will be 82 tomorrow, that gives us a different view of tomorrow. Thoughts and prayers to all of those families who loat loved ones that day. GOD BLESS AMERICA, Thanks to all who have served, or those who are serving!

Work

I work in the oilfield on a Workover Rig. We were Wirelining that morning. My Wife called and told me about the first plane. We then wwere listening to the radio when the second plane hit. Its still a fresh memory. I still have a hard time accepting people that do not like Americans the American way or Human Life.

I was at work. Riding around checking pump stations. Remember hunting that night and no airplanes were flying anywhere.

I dont mind sharing this subject because its a success story. I was laying in my bed in pain after a treatment of chemo for cancer. I watched the whole thang unfold on tv because I didnt have any thing else I could do. (BTW no Gov. checks for this fellow during all this). I "plainly remember" the next night when they shut down the air traffic I went to the woods and it was the most quite night I ever experienced. "Never forget that".......Today I am healthy as any one and very thankful and blessed. I will never forget 911 for more than just the sake of our country but for me it was a time frame of personal battle. Many lives were lost and one life was not. To our soldiers "I SOLUTE"

I was living in NY, and at the Drs. with my daughter when the nurse told us about the first plane. By the time we left the 2nd had crashed. The company I worked for called me to tell me that we were not going to be open that night or the next. One of the women at my company lost her husband that day. I remember seeing fighter jets flying along the Hudson River towards the city later in the day.

CRAZY TIME

I myself was at work too. Didnt really know what it ment at the time until I got home and watched TV. I live in a town of about 3,500 people and every gas station in town had a line of two-three blocks long of people wanting gas. The town was in a big panic and for good reason...

I was starting my 2nd day at a new job as a secretary at a private college, and people were running down the hall screaming that a plane had hit the world trade center. Small town as I was, I had no idea what the world trade center was. I watched it all, it was horrible, and even though I didn't know anyone who lost their lives that day, I cried for them.

Getting ready to go do some tree jobs.We would turn the tv on and watch the CNN news til ready to go.News was reporting the first tower being hit.We were like how could someone fly into a building on a clear day as it was. While we were watching in came the second one.We never went to work that day.Stayed home and watched the news.My friends cousin's and his wife lived about 10 mile from the flight 93 crash site and its flight path. She was unaware of what was transpiring.Out hanging laundry and saw the jet going over minutes before it crashed. She said it was low and she saw its wings tipping back and forth as it passed over.
We all know now what was happening in those final few minutes. We have visited the crash site.Awe inspiring.

Yes the next few days had clear skys with no jet streams.A day in our industrial country that had not occured for years.

I was working at the Wyoming Michigan Post Office, sorting mail. I happened to be listening to news radio when they announced the first one. I told all my co- workers and we wheeled in a bigger radio. As we sorted and cased mail, I still to this day have never heard a group of carriers so quiet as they sorted mail. It was one of the longest days of my life. Every school in Grand Rapids was closed that morning, and I remember fighting the urge to go pick up my wife and kids, just to keep them close. The only other memory that I have that is more sobering that that one is when those kooks in OKC bombed the Federal Building....

I'd love to thank personally if there was a way, all involved with the heroic rescues that day. Those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of someone else. But the one thing that most of us forget, or maybe just overlook, are those civilians who were at work, doing their jobs, providing for their families, who were plucked from this life. A nation will never be the same.

I only wish that every person here would realize, that we too can be plucked from this life at any time.

Today is the day of Salvation. No man is promised another day, another minute, another breath. Jesus Christ is the savior, the Son of God, sent to the cross to pay a debt he did not owe, for sins that he did not commit. He did it for all of us, Me, you, and those in your family. Trust Him today. Repent. Be Born Again.
Amen.

Ten Years ago I was in my front yard talking to some plumming contractors to get a bid on replumming my house.
My wife called all of us in the house. After we saw what was going on we were so stunned that the contractors went home.
I had to go to the next town for some insurance buisness, I carried my centerfire rifle with me, as I thought at any minute that we may come under attack. That night I had an industrial college class to attend, it was cancled.
That was the day, that America woke up.
Im glad Osama Bin Laden got his Head Blown Off!!!

I was drinking a cup of coffee.

I called my mom and dad and told them. Went to their house and watched The news with them in shock. When the pentagon was hit my dad (rest in peace) looked at me with tears and said Mike we are going to war, I am proud of you and love you. Two days later back at Fort Campbell Ky preparing for what was next.

We were heading to drill a waterwell down by Meredosia and I was listening to the Bob & Tom show.

After hearing about the first one, I thought that maybe it was an accident. When I heard about the second one, I knew that it was an attack.

The sky was kind of eerie all day. It was absolutely clear and there were no planes anywhere in sight. I did get to see Air Force One fly over with its military escorts that day. It was about as high as I had ever seen any commercial aircraft.

I was in 6th grad, I remember walking into the classroom that morning an the teacher alreadu had it on the tv, at first I didnt think much of it, just a building on fire in NYC, well as we sat their waiting for the teacher to start class we watched as the second plain hit the second tower. We tryed to start the day so had to turn off the tv but a short time later the principle came over the speaker an had all 6th grad teachers turn on their tvs after the pentagon got hit an flight 93. This was a scary situation cuz flight 93 flew closly over us on their way back to Pa where it crashed later.

Its crazy to think that was ten years ago. Now im 22 gettn ready to turn 23. It seams lik its only, been a few years
