IM gonna ask what may be a stupid question here,i dont hunt cats so bear with me......i noticed some of the dogs, witch look good by the way, have 4 collars on them, one looked to have two tracking collars, why so many collars on a dog?

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

Posted by Blaine Stout on 12-22-2009 02:46 PM:

Just a guess

Looks like a regular collar, tracking collar, garmin collar and a shock collar. I have seen a lot of people use the garmin and a regular tracking collar. Just in case they get out of range of the garmin.

Brian congrats on a great season so far! Your dogs look awesome as usual!

Jess How has it been goin man? Havent got to talk to you in a long time. I need to give you a call some time and catch up. Got to meet a great guy from new mexico the other day. He is a cat and bear hunter. Got my first bear and cat dog on the place now. He is a 5 year old walker dog.

I can Show ya How to Reduce those Collars X 1 !!! Just attach to their Reg Collar !!

Plus add about 6 miles of tracking ability !!

Standard Chapstick next to a Falconry Transmitter

Here is a Link to Mikes Falconry Supply with some Spec. on it

Its Spec. at 30 Miles but the very most I have tested it was at 16 miles .. But they are the same as any Transmitter if their over a Mountain their Lost !! Unless you get a bounce off a Face somwhere..

http://www.mikesfalconry.com/product.asp?specific=1124

Or if you Really want some Range and have a Ham Radio Lic..

You Get this one !!!!!

Double the power of the PowerMax, this transmitter is only available for export, or to Licensed Amateur Radio users in the US and Canada with valid call sign for use on HAM Bands (223 or 433 MHz) protected by law.
With its 10-day battery life and running in "Turbo-mode," the RT Standard is the transmitter of choice for falconers in the Gulf looking for the most range possible.

I swear Steve you are a walking encyclopedia...a virtual wealth!
So tell me, can I recieve signals from that little baby on my Tracker hand held? You suppose they could build some in my frequency range?

Posted by Brian Chorney on 12-23-2009 01:49 AM:

You hit the nail on the head Blaine. Still use the old tracking collars but havn't had to use the box to find them, just a safety.

Looks like you have done it again with Smoke. Funny how you keep turning out such nice young hounds. <great job>
I also just looked at Scott York's Bonnie female
<Coby & Black Jack> all that I can say is WOW !! Bonnie has every quality that we look for in a female and the bells and whistles.
