Day 1 of lion hunting with Brian and I. Rev and Gambler cold trailed the track for about an hour and a half. Rev came treed and Gambler quickly backed him. We walked Smoke and Venom into the tree and got them treeing with just a little encoragement. While we were busy taking pictures the lion decided to come down and give them another run. But this time we got to get the youngsters in on it. The cat went high on the second tree and Smoke and Venom treed great. Well it's a good start. We'll be back at it tomorrow.

Man, they are lookin sharp-- very nice pictures-- thats a great start for those pups to see there first lion jump out in front of
them--thats the best thing that could have happened to them.

ps I'm a redtick man @heart---but i really like the blue dogs in
the pictures for some reason!!!!!

YUP... and Bob commented on how good he looked once He saw the pix too! He really did turn out looking as good as Expected... LOL... poor Ole Ugly They all look really good... Sure does bring TONS of pleasure to those who follow these hounds thru the computer!!

Gambler, Coby, and Minnie put this one up. We got Venom and Smoke into the first tree. This one decided to jump out and run again also, and the five of them put him up again pretty quick.

We had another good hunt today. The lion crossed the road a couple times so we got to get a couple extra young dogs in on this one too. He was treed on a leaner about 10 feet up the 1st time, then jumped and ran again before they put him up in a good tree. These things sure aren't wanting to stay treed very well. But the dogs have been able to change there minds so far. We had more dogs than usual at this tree. The youngsters all treed good and finally got to taste their 1st real reward.
