I simply asked how this rule would be enforced if the cast was in the woods and it happened with only spectators at the truck. It would suit me fine if they took out the rule and let everyone use them during time in. I'm not looking to get rid of any competition or anything like that. I have to judge a lot of casts and it bothers me when situations arise that are hard to enforce.

The garmin is not capable of giving a hunter an advantage if the unit is left in the truck.
A spectator can look at the screen and it will tell them where my dog is and what direction the dog is from WHERE THE UNIT IS.
NOT from where I am in the woods.
The dogs may be east of the truck (units location)
but be west of my location (if i am east of the truck)
or north or south of my location, it depends on where I am at in relevance to the truck.

Bullet,

If any individual is caught using (includes looking at mapping systems, location of dog etc.) any tracking device including a GPS tracking device during hunting time then file a Misconduct Report against the individual and also listing any witnesses to the infraction. You wouldn't scratch the specatators handler. UKC makes any such decisions if they find it to be applicable and make changes to reports if neccessary due to circumstances.

Hope this is along the lines of what you were asking.

Thanks Allen. That sounds like as good a solution as can be expected given the circumstances. I appreciate your help on this matter.
