I've hunted with a dozen or so probably. Some good, some I didn't like. The one thing most had is they were low end strike dogs. Some bawled, some chopped. All were good tree dogs.

You mean they don't bark till they smell a coon ???

Clean

Clean won Autumn Oaks twice and the Purina championship or whatever they call that hunt. I can say Clean will go down as, untill someone tops him as the greatest UKC competition dog ever. Not to mention the other stuff he won. I can't say who is the other KCs greatest all time. There is no doubt in UKC because there is no one close.

.

These post about THIS vs THAT should be banned. lol

I don't even like my own dogs two nights in a row.

What dog is the best.
What squaller is the best.
What light is the best.
What Boots are the best.
Which Truck is the best.
Which UTV is the best.
Which breed is the best.

If it has something to do with coonhunting I love all of them.

Posted by yadkintar on 11-08-2015 03:34 PM:

Bruce I would just like to have one like either one of them I would even hunt one of yours I am way short of dog power right now lol !!!

IF ANYONE HAS ANY DOUBT THAT CLEAN DONT REPRODUCE COME ON OVER. I CAN SHOW YOU 3 YOUNG HOUNDS OUT OF 3 DIFFERENT FEMALES THAT WILL IMPRESS ANYONE AT ANYTIME. THEY WILL BOTH GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS GREAT HOUNDS, NO DOUBT.

Yadkintar the funny thing is we all like something different with one common thread and that is having the coon.
My favorite hound right now is one my handler can't win with. That shows what I know. Have a hound I really like and think is good and can't prove it with win slips. Come to think of it, that has been my theme song for many years. lol

Some of the best dogs seldem do go to a hunt or for one reason or another get left at home , bone ,clean pac, lipper ,big d,rattler ,nailer ,harry etc of all I would have to say that clean has shown to be the most dominant dog in ukc ever and bone in pkc and whatever that other one is called at the moment .However that does not matter we all want a coon dog ourselfs and we will see one day who or what reproduces the most coondogs , They all throw good and bad ones and you cant blame that on the male , however I know of a few females that you could breed to a beagle and get a coondog go figure.Congrats to Mr Clean and Bone Collector on what they have won.I would not be supprised to see them in the winners circle again this year .

I wouldn't say that most of Bone's pups are chopp mouthed. I would say many chop a lot on the ground, meaning from my experience don't breed him to a chop mouthed female and expect him to fix it with bawl mouths. I do have one that has a tremendous bawl mouth. I have not raised a super quick strike dog out of either. I have raised super fast track dogs out of both.

Have all of these pups been from your female David? Because living 40 miles from him and hunting in the hunts around here I have probably seen as many as anyone. I have seen chop mouth dogs out of him but the majority of them have had a squall mouth. Most of them pretty loud.

Joey, I have seen pups out of several different females and I was just suprised to see as many as I have with chop mouths when his mouth is so darn good.

Posted by joey on 11-09-2015 02:20 AM:

He does have a good mouth.

did they ever post the scorecards on that event? I had heard a lot of luck was needed to win that.

It's all about standreds those guys like Bryan and Doug wouldn't hunt a dog like most of us own !! Dogs like bone and clean find a way to win ! Usually by treeing coons when the other dogs don't night after night both are class acts when they get beat they take it like a man. And when they get done campaigning them they will have anouther winner just like them because they won't settle for less jmo !!

I dont know. Never heard.

All I know is that he beat 63 REALLY good dogs. Doug seems to be a really nice and straight forward guy. I am sure that you could call and ask him.

They Both have proved there self in the winners circle and they both have reproduced good dogs. I am sure Bryan thinks a lot of Clean as I know I think a lot of ole Bone. As far as Bone winnings he has been LUCKY enough to win over 135,000. Thanks for the nice words on ole Bone!!!

well said Doug. You and Bryan should both be proud of the hounds you have. They continue to prove themselves over and over.
