Nope NKC rules are pretty lax. Squirrel possum or coon just get points deleted as long as it is tree game. I think you could tree a groundhog and it wouldn't really matter.

Went out with Lilo and Lundells Max this afternoon. made 5 trees found squirrels in 2 of them. Last time we cut loose they ended up in a brushpile that had a tree going straight up through the middle of it. It had a coon in it and they were fighting another one in the brush pile at the bottom of the tree, That was at 6:00 pm.

Fun hunt tonight!

I took Sally and Lilo for a run tonight. It was clear with a slight breeze, no moon, 47 degrees. The first drop they struck a hot one out of a small cornfield and got treed real quick. Second drop they treed on a tree that had an old tree stand in it. The coon was laying on the platform of the old stand. Third drop they treed a litter in big old box elder tree. There was three kits in the tree that I could find. Fourth drop Sally worked a terrible track by herself for about 400 yards. She ended up in a big old den tree.

Squirrel hunt

Took Lilo for a quick hunt in the rain. Made 5 trees. Found 2 of them, one got in a hole before I could get him. Still a lot of leaves out there.

Besides you shouldn't be shining trees with that spotlight after we see the "coon" I was happy just seeing the eyes.

them Dan dogs can sure pressure the big ones!!! doug said he had to pin the coon to the tree while he was holding it up!!too much strain on the rotator cup!!!!LOL Duke is a pup out of DanIII x hanna...daughter x father..
