Chris

I certantly didnt mean you put Dave in a bad light. You are one of the few that got the story straight. You did your homework and got some facts and set the story straight. For that I comend you. I really feel bad for the situation you have been put in for someone elses careless actions. I have always heard nothing but good things from your hound. As far as Spanky semen being really Spanky all I can tell you is I was at Daves the day Spanky came home from being collected. I patted Spanky on the head and asked him if he had a good time down south LOL. It was THE Spanky dog that came out of that dog box so I have to assume that it was Spanky semen that went into those tubes to be frozen. A partner and myself bought some of those tubes and I will prolly own more before it is all said and done (I hope). Chris I wish you all the luck in the future with your hounds and hope nothing but the best comes from all this mess. Good luck to you. Dave

I think folks know what and where the problem was with Etringer's Cricket, but don't want to say because of who is involved. Bad deal, but the truth ought to be told, regardless of who is tarnished in the process.

This lying and paper swapping that has gone on for years is sickening, and it is just as bad when a big-timer does it as when some little guy does.

The only difference is, if the little guy gets found out, he gets barred.

take

pictures of the mating if the owner of the female can't be present. that will end some of it. Some guys have so many hounds they can't possibly keep proper track of who is who. This is regrettable and irresponsible to the coonhunting public. This leads to my conclusion, see it with you own eyes and deal with folks that believe the same.........

Thank you Dave, How have you heard about my old dog up there in Michigan?

I have benn to Dave Dean's and got a couple pups from him. I really enjoyed talking to him and that man is a walking encyclapedia for coondogs. I would hope that the semon that is supposed to be off Spanky is and I would think that when you use it you should get some nice pups. I never got to hunt with the dog but to win what he won with or without handler help was huge. That old dog must have been able to flat tree a coon!

John, I agree with you on someone needs to admit fault and do all they can to help get this mess cleared up. I don't care if my dogs grandpa is Pr poop head the pot licker but a full set of papers would be nice to have. If it wrecks a reputation then to **** bad they should have thought of that a long time ago. I did all I could to try and figure this mess out and was ready to spend some money on forinsic dna tests if need be but I couldn't get enough info and straight answers to find anything to test. Seems like I could call someone out of the blue and they would have some info but would never come through with anything that would help.

Ask Perry Vesely.

He posted the story here once, and I firmly believe his account.

John, I read Perry's story and have no reason to disbeleave him. If that is the case then there is only one man truly at fault. The bad thing is them being lied to has made a whole new nest of worms. I wish they would have shot that female when they got it if they thought they had been cheated. I'm not saying it was their fault because they went by what the papers said same as I did. If that is the case then Warren should fess up and tell what the pup was out of. Maybe someone pulled the wool over his eyes. Who knows.

I am sure I am not the only one who ever took it in the shorts. The thing about it is Bo was the first registerd dog I ever bought. There for he was the first I made grnite and so on. It kind of takes the wind out of your sails when something like that happens. evrything I have except one dog is off Bo and some of the young dogs I like and some I didn't. I guess the females have a lot to do with it. Full papers or not he makes me happy and the dogs we have out of him make us happy. I am going to keep breeding him but as far as the hunts I think he is pretty much retired. Atleast he is still alive, I wish I had the little Bingo female back that the pit bulls killed. She was a little something special and was a real nice coondog.

my IQ has dropped...

...since I began reading this thread! LOL

Could somebody(that knows) please summarize what this thread is about?

Who supposedly owned Spanky II.?

Are you talking about Warren Haslouer? Is he still alive? I figured he would be 90+ by now?

This is the first I have heard of this and now I am more confused than when I started reading?

Never thought I would see this post again. My old dog is dead now just like all the dogs that were involved when all this happend. I guess it really doesn't matter anymore but would still like to know the answers. I would deal with it all over again just to get to hunt with the ol boy a few more times when he was in his prime. No he wasn't perfect or even pretty but he was and will always be the stick I measure a hound with. It would be nice to have some blanks filled in on some grand and great grand pups of the old dog. What bothered me the most about the deal is that this all took place long before my dog was ever born.
