Qualifying Slams

Allen, am I correct in the way I'm interpreting your last response, will we now be able to use the HD format for Qualifying Slams as well as regular "mini slams"?

License Fee

In a doubleheader slam, is the licensing fee $25 per date or $25 per round?

Joe, the license fee for any Double Header is $35. Doesn't matter if its a Regular or Slam DH.

Me thinks you need to spill the beans !! People are waiting to schedule hunts till they see the new programs. Don't wait to long !!

Is that $35 plus $2 a dog for the DH mini slams ?

Tar

Well no leash lock and tree countdown too may as well shoot for the stars !!

Allen

Received hunt packet for club today but there is no kind of information about holding slam events . Maybe it was left out on accident ?
Please advise ....as We are right at one month away from new formats set in place but no one has any solid information in black&white ????
Thanks !

One dog cast

What if only one dog shows up for a particular category, does it still get to hunt?

How will this work if one GrNt and three registered dogs show up to hunt?

Grnite would hunt alone with non-hunting judge, 3 registed together in a cast. Each cast winner with plus points gets a win. High score gets more performance points. If it's a slam they split the pot on a double header (they are all automatic split) or can hunt for placement $'s if not, still just get the 1 CW.

There's your answer KT.

Posted by Kenneth Tavares on 12-13-2018 04:56 PM:

I already knew that answer. I wish I had people to do my job for me.

Now, for my next question. Does it seem fair and logical for one dog hunting alone to get equal placement as the winner of a three dog cast? Did UKC think about and discuss this?

Oh my goodness, does UKC make decisions without thinking about and discussing them? What happened in the past when only one Nt Ch dog showed up to hunt? Mr Tavarres, why don't you just tell us what you think they should do. And you posted the question on a public forum. If you didn't want a public answer, you should/could have just PM'ed Mr Gingerich. He always answers them.

K.T. K.T. Do you think if you were the non hunting judge on that one dog cast would their be an advantage..Probably would be the most honest score that ever came in(especially Non black Dog ) just a jab there ..If we can get one more dog to participate no matter how final numbers may increase..Hope all is well in the low country!

It's been happening in regular hunts forever not much difference now except for a little cash, cast winners with plus points still get a win competition or not just like always. My understanding is the only reason for the separation for slams is to allow for performance points to be given out too.

Sorry KT. I was out Tuesday and have plenty to do other than trolling the forum all day. Sorry, I missed your question. I did check and have no voicemails from you. And... I appreciate those who know the answers to questions asked here and respond accordingly. Thanks Jen.
