Chip,
Do you have any pics of Jojo you could post on here? I have only seen one pic from her on a tree and the pic wasn't that great. I have always wanted to get a good look at her.

Litter of Tae Bo pups that Chad DeSpain of Arizona bred. He shipped Tae Bo semen out to New Mexico and AI'd his female. I had a male and these are the pups that I was helping deliver. They spent a week at my kennel and I took them out on little hikes to see how they acted.

IF you remember at about the time of the Fab 5 cross the hot thing in the English breed was the ALL-GRAND pedigree, Jojo's inability to be up close in the illustrious ALL-GRAND pedigree is what (in my opinion) kept the FAB 5 and pups out of her from being more heavily used. I know it's a line of dogs that I've always thought highly of!

Randy

It's funny what people set the bench mark at isn't it? Yes a title is a good indication of a dog's ability. But I've hunted with some titled dogs that weren't worth a nickel. The FAB 5 was a historical cross. Look at the WORLD to WORLD crosses or multiple WORLD litters being produced in the English world. These pedigrees have world beaters in their pedigree and still haven't accomplished this feat.

Sure is! While I respect the hard work of the hunters and breeders that goes into an all-grand litter, I just feel like it should never become the sole criteria of a cross! What females could the Fab 5 males have been bred to if not for the All-Grand males of the time? Hindsight's 20/20 but you mentioned the other crosses on Jojo where overlooked as well, I know I'd sure liked to have seen Husker, Deeter, and Guido (just to name ones I'm familiar with) sons of their respected sires Rooster, Bush Hog, and Bingo used a bit more. Wonder if it's any coincidence that some of the top reproducers today carry Jojo blood through females such as Feebie (Rooster) and Fergie (Bush Hog)? I don't think so, but it sure seems like it took breeding that pesky CH Northridge Little Tess off the papers, for it to happen...
