Ron I wish you the best of luck with that Idea but i've been there, you CAN pull that off but it's real tough on some trees. Your going to find yourself in situations where you can't get back away from the tree enough, you'll be shooting straight up more at the coon and your going to wish you had a light attached to your gun IMO and I do have a Sunspot light with the swivel bracket just like your using.

If you have any questions you can call and talk to Corey as he has one he is trying out. Problem is anymore this stuff is too expensive in my opinion. I am from the old school of making what you need. If you want a top of the line products and you feel it is worth it to you then I recommend this one.
My first thought is the thing would get knocked off your gun. I was wrong on that as the magnets are as strong as any I have seen. It stays where you put it. I have asked Cory to give you a super deal on one if this is what you think you need.

I took a weaver base that I had laying around and mounted it at the end of a Ruger 10/22. Then mounted a small led flashlight in a 1 inch ring. This is not a 200 yard kill light, but will do the job at normal range.
