I brought it up earlier, but would like your take.

Whats the call on a dog coming into a closed tree.3 dogs treed, 1 still on track.
squalling starts at 8min. dog comes in,handled, then coon seen.

does that dog gets minused just its strike and nothing to tree points{because it was never treed}?

so......
closed tree.coon seen?
closed tree no coon seen;circle{leaves,den}?
closed tree no coon seen {slick}?

been in a few hunts most judges scored differently!!

Pat,

Every time a dog arrives after the judge arrives, whether it is 8 seconds or 8 minutes after the judge arrives, it falls under Rule 5(b) "No dog to receive minus points for coming into tree after Judge arrives unless a coon is seen and the dogs treeing are awarded plus points."

This post is getting off topic so it will now be closed.

You can tell a difference when a dog is babbling and when the dog is running a track. If the dog opens under the min and the handler strikes the dog he has to carry the track out not bark in front of you and then shut up and then go deep and open again. If the dog shuts up and then opens in the same general area about 50 to 100 yards then yeah I will let it slide but not opening then shuting up and goin in there that is babbling to me.
