Just had a thought. I wonder how one of the nice females out of Tharps Luther dog would cross on Bret Winns male? This would be a double Boots cross with Jet V again and Iron Will thrown in the mix?

At this point I could care less about titled parents...... as long as the parents are from a decent cross and the parents are "coondogs". Whatcha think? You know some about both of these crosses.

Are there any females out there out of Luther that would maybe cross well on a male out of Jet V Again and Boots. I think there is a good male in your neck of the woods.

This would be doubling up on the Boots/ Jet Seven/Iron Will blood with Hillbilly and Spike as outcross. Wouldn't mind getting a pup or two if the opportunity arises.

Just wanted to let u know! Hopefully be making a cross here shortly that I think u might like!!! Trent Tharps Luther dog x CTKs Blue Jammin Jade. Jade is off my old Indy dog which was directly off of jet 6 and a Levi bred female. Jades dam was directly off of iron will and a female off of northern blue Legend. Jade has I think right at 17 pups on the ground. 1 dual grand, 1 nt ch, and 1 that should be a grand but doesn't get hunted in the hunts. Just let me know if this might be a cross u might be interested in. Thanks Max

Yep that's what it would look like!! but it didn't happen old Luther wouldn't breed her for some reason so I bred her to Sledge again!! Wish we could have got it done!!

That's ok. I always think things usually happen for a reason. Hope fully this cross you just made will be full of nt's and gr nt's.

I figure when the time is right the perfect pup will fall into my hands again

How have u been!? I finally got 2 pups out of my Indy 2 dog!! They are 8 days old today!! Time will tell on them. Me and my Dad was both lucky enough to buy females off of Luther and The Star female!!! 3 yr olds both pretty nice females!!

Yes that's the ped on them. Star is double B&D spike bred. We took both of them together last night. First drop they split treed mine had her coon and dads had a double. Second drop they both treed on a den then turned them on in they got split again dads had big tree with a nest mine was slick. Turned in deeper they got split again dads had three coon and mine had a den. We moved and turned them loose and what do u know they split again!!! Dads had a coon and mine had a double!!! We seen 9 total last night but only rolled out 3. They are very nice females!!! Haven't had a pair of females like this for a long time!!

We've got all paperwork (UKC and PKC) on Dads female mailed off. Waiting on it to return and for her to come in heat!! She will be going to Deans at Nevergone and being bred to Jet V semen!!!

That sounds awesome! Hope you get it done and get some big litters too. Those two females sure sound like they make a heck of a pair. Did they both have a lot of hunting on them before you got them or are they pretty much naturals?

They both started early and then was laid up after one good season on them. They both hadnt been out of the pen for along time before we got them.

All of the above reminds me of Boots' mother, Hector's Smokin Jet Blue Bess(Heydes Bess II). I raised Bess II's litter out of Smokey River Dancer and my old Bess female.(littermate to Ed's Bess III) Bess II was very consistent from 8 weeks on. Almost always one of the 1st strike 1st tree pups in the litter. There were times I would take the net back out of the tree and all of the pups would follow....except her. She would just tree harder.

I welped the litter out of Bess II and Jet Seven, Boots and Faiths litter, then got to hurting for cash and sold her to my friend Brian Hector with intentions of buying her back. (he changed her name from Heyde's Jet Blue Bess II) She ended up getting bred by a St. Bernard and died in labor according to Brian. One of Brian's favorite hunts with her was when he went with a walker man and in about 4 hours she split on 14 coon. She was the same mild mannered dog alone or with company. She hunted hard and deep if need be.... just another day at the office was her attitude.
