It would probably be late in the hunt. Im sure mine would have made a tree or 2 by then. According to how the other guy searched my tree but my guess would be. He stood in one spot or 2 with his light on low looking at the ground. If they try and help me out. I'll help them. A few around here want see their coon in my light anymore. I can promise that. Better learn how to find em is all I know.

I guess to each his own, but if the dog has it he has it, If your not a a$$ i'll find your coon I do it for the hound not you. Had a cast one night 2 dogs were treed we searched,circled , got away from the tree and judge said to me other dog had it kitten he thought said he seen it,Now that is wrong and brag to see and not score it very wrong!! but big money hunts are the worst for not seeing, not all cast some are much pleasure.

people being dishonest at any time is disgusting. that is also the reason that a lot of people i know wont go to some clubs. i have guided a hunt were an older guy tried to cheat a 13 year old girl at an RQE hunt. and that was the most pathetic thing i had ever saw. although it does seem to be worse at different clubs. you can only go and hope that people will be honest.

If you need help finding your coon chances are your lacking the dog power to hunt for 10 000 anyways....

I said if he saw my coon he wouldnt tell me . You responded $10,000 what coon . I dont consider myself a do gooder lol but I'm not cheat and if its there ill see it for you or your dog . I want to win as much as anyone I'm just not a thief . In my opinion seeing a coon in a tree and not saying anything would be like theft . Dont get your panties in a bunch . Thats why I put question marks on the quote . You answered the question .You can tell me what kind of person I am if You like and you think you know . It is very interesting to see how people view this as the money gets higher for some hunts . We just have quite a few of the older hunters in our area and younger guys / kids that have had bad experiences with this sort of situation where they just want to hold HTX

this is why i like huntin with the leaves are off the tree i usally dont need help and finding the coon.but if someone dont help me look for my coon i will return the favor.it should be a rule that everyone shines a tree cause when u turn loose u are apart of a cast.i will try and find every one elses coon b4 i find my my own coon.thats just the way i roll.but they are crooks every where even in the coon hunting world

I do like dominos though lol . Ill try that . Your right I said I havent hunted for 10K , I guess the largest hunts I hunt money wise is Lonestar 5000 or at Jewet Classic . May not have that kind of dog power but mine dont need any help . Im not that old either . Im 48 I'm just struggling with diabetees vision issues . Im sure it will get better after loosing about 30 more lbs . Im bout 6 ft 3 in 295 lbs and actually not that bad of shape ( round is a shape ) I'll make fun of myself so yaw dont have to lol. I would like to know if in either of the registries it is legal to use infared scanner ? That way I could find my own with out anyone else even looking or go back to 5100 heads . Those were easier for me . Maybe you guys might want look me up if youir in texas and well just go to the woods and see what happens . Ill treat you right ! Maybe afterwards if your up to it we can play around of dominos . I didnt know how to do a poll but it looks about 50/50 on whether someone will find your coon that you overlook and most will see it if you point it out . Thats fair enough for me .

Id enjoy drawing You . Their are some great hunters in east texas . Fair Honest but still competitive and packing the dog power like Josh Howard , Mark Whatley or Dexter , Dustin , too many to name so dont be offended but we got some handlers that dont get paid if they dont win and it is a miserable cast for everyone trying to hunt 2 hours and stop all their B.S. there is not alot of them but they are there at every hunt .

In my opinion that is what is wrong with the world today. Most is all about themselves instead of the betterment of the sport or whatever the subject matter may be. I for one am in it to win if I can win by the rules and with having good sportsmanship. Something to think about... what if everyone that hunted the hunts was honest showed good sportmanship and called their dog for what it was doing instead of trying slick handling.... there would be more people still hunting the hunts which would mean bigger purses which would mean your winnings would mean more money in your pocket if you win... SO honesty and sportsmanship would actually pay off. Instead some has the attitude of I will get you before you can get me... That is the same attitue that is leading to the down fall of everything in this nation! Just my two cents... I also coach High School Sports and have 5 kids which I teach that hard work and being well prepared for whatever will pay off way more times then trying to find the short cuts in life!!

Im good with finding my own . I am however serious about the question on the infared scanner . Bushnell makes one reasonable for $150 not bad if I can locate him then try and spot him with the LED light ( I like them ) and get the other guys to see them . I do however find them better with the old 5100 head I guess if the scanner isnt legal I gould carry an extra head . This guy in question wouldnt see the coon if I put a lazer dot on it or shot it out lol . Not a bad guy at all but has to win and will pull some stuff to do it . I know another guy that probably thinks Im refering to him but its not who you think

I do wonder if HTX hunts will take hold as this will not be an issue in them I know there is no money to win but it will be something for the titled dogs to persue to prove they werent handler made . I think it makes a dog legitimate . It may bring some fun back into an organized hunt not meant to take away from testing dogs against competition which I like . It will give me something to do on a week night that will earn a title and tune my dogs as I like to hunt them solo . It is kinda odd though Ive not run into a hunter not shining my tree or not wanting to see the coon in a money type hunt but have in the non money hunts . surprising

I'm surprised no one has brought this up... If your hunting for 10 grand, your not hunting ukc.... So odds are great that you'll have a non-hunting judge and backup judge. So if 1 guy doesn't shine your not really out anything.

I get paid to win only, if I'm at a local or club hunt or somethin like that I'm just a laid back as any, but there to win. When its a big hunt I'm there to win & you can bet I'm on my game & you better be on yours. I use them strictly as I would want them used on me. I'll help you find your coon & all that, but when your talking a brand new pick up, or 25k$ that I get to keep if I win, you best have a dog that can beat mine & know the rules. There is a rule for not shining a tree, & you'll get scratched if used proper. I'll shine every tree, but if it comes down to a big hunt & I'm handling a dog you best be able to find your own coon cuz that's a bigger pay check for me, its my job to win & I do it.... Don't get me wrong, I have all the sportsmanship there is, but if your hunting for the big $ or a truck you better be a good enough handler to be there. JMO

As Mr Carroll stated for those kind of prizes there will be a non hunting judge . I know the rules I dare say better than You as You are 18 years old . I can add subtract strategize without having to take my socks and shoes off to count lol . I run a multi million dollar plant Tony ( by the way good morning Im stuck at work while your huntlng ) All I have to have to beat You is a better hound and not be afraid to call it like it hunts .I wont pitch it on Yours or anyone elses or Youll just beat me fair and square . The question was if You saw would You admit it ? Weve had this discussion before . I believe You have to earn a truck ticket or win your way to the big payday thru several rounds so if I was hunting for it Id be good enough to be there . I'm hunting to see coon. I'll do my best to help someone find their coon no matter what. If their dog has it, it deserves to win. If $10,000 is what's standing between you being honest or greedy than I would say that would be a good reason to keep the $$$ out of the winnings in hunts. Big money does nothing besides corrupt good men!

Well i have hunted dogs since around 13 years old , and seen alot in the woods . Now im 56 years old a few years back i started to hunt some UKC hunts , my oldest son got very interested in winning some hunts . So i tried a couple just to see how the rules worked . I found out if you don't know the rules they will beat you on paper . I only hunted with one or 2 guys in competition that where 100 % honest . I will help the young hunters if they have enough dog to win and they should . I got taking off the UKC message board for telling my opinion of someone i hunted agianst . Yes i do get tired of hearing how people cheat to win .
