my wife & i took my mom & dad on a vacation to wyoming. we was on our way back to ky. was in kansas city & noticed these long lines at gas stations. i ask what the deal was with these long lines & the clerk told me. went straight to a motel so i could watch it on TV.

I was working at delivery company loading my truck for the route that day when the driver next to me had his radio on. Had the radio on all day and most my stops were pretty somber gathered around a radio or tv.
I was still on the inactive reserve list at the time and remember worrying if I'd get called to serve. Thankfully I didn't, but sure worried about all my brothers and family that got callled up the following months.
I was in NYC this spring and it really it home again when you speak with the locals, see downtown Manhatten and all the tributes to those that lost they're lives.
Watching TV with the wife last night and watched a show about 9-11 and the wife and I were both teared and choked up.
Never forget!

Two weeks into Marine Corps boot camp. Up untill that point I had joined for the college money. After that it was a little more real.

I was in the 7th grade science class when the teacher got a phone call and turned on the tv its a day i will never forget
