Cause of shock collars. I know alot of folks that want for any reason turn a dog loose without one..Myself included..Its a safety reason more than anything.Might save ones life..Also if they used the rule like you stated..Might as well not have tracking collars. You cant use any type od tracking devise on during hunt time.Well, a tracking collar is a tracking devise.

Well since you want to NITPICK...

"Cannot have RECIEVER on during hunt time."

Satisfied???

Quit being a baby... you know exactly what I am talking about when I say Tracking devices cannot be on during hunt time.

GROW UP.

no, rule 20 says TRANSMITTERS FOR ELECTRONIC TRAINING COLLARS MUST BE LEFT IN VEHICLE AND MAY NOT BE USED BY HANDLER OR SPECTATOR.

rule 20 says anyone caught using a locating device during hunt time will be barred indefinitely. so i guess my pet monkey better not be watching that garmin screen from the truck. he will be disappointed, he likes to watch the action.

Spectators are not part of the cast. They don't have a vote on anything that might arise requiring a cast vote. They are there to spectate and not a hunt participant.

The future of coonhunting...

Watching a screen seeing where my dog is, camera mounted to his collar to see the coon, 3 inch .22 mounted to collar also to shoot coon out, dog fetches coon back to me.

hunted all night, killed 10 coons.... and never got out of the truck.

No one even confronted him about it. He withdrew on his own. What do you mean by "Getting rid of the competition"?
Like I said no one forced him to do anything.

What the big deal about a tracking device? How do they give anyone a advantage? Just beacause you can tell where your dog is , Guess what I know where my dog is I can hear Him, I don't agree with this rule its stupid. In my opioion.

yeah i really don't understand that rule myself, i just don't see the advantage they would have by using it. if your gonna go by that garmin telling you when to tree your dead meat on the cast i have been on.

If you not close enough to hear your dog treeing (out of range) why would the judge let you tree your dog? If your close enough to hear your your dog why would you need a tracking device?

Jeff, use of trackers during hunt time has been banned in every KC since trackers first came out. This isn't a new rule, it has always been a barrable offense to track your dog with a locating device during hunt time. In every KC. Why? ....Who cares why? It's the rule. Always been the rule. Everywhere. Never been a problem anywhere that I know of.

Posted by JefferyAntes on 04-21-2009 12:55 AM:

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I really just wanted to know why, Jim you sound like the old phrase because I said NO!!! It just doesn't make sense to me to get in a up roar about it and I thought that maybe a guy like a true guru would give me some understanding.
