garmin 300 and tt25 limited range

I have a new gamin 300I and 3 t25 collars. also I have multiple t15s. I have had Garmin's since the beginning. So I thought I knew most everything.

Any way, I bear hunt. I have all these collars on dogs turned loose at the same time. My tt25s wont track over 300/400 yards. My t15s track a very long ways, right beside the T25.

So I pulled out my trusty 430 and I can track the tt25 good. Why is the garmin 300I not tracking them if the 430 is. I dont mean long distance. I mean it loses at 400 yards and the 430 tracks them from 400 till they run clear out of range at a mile,
