Dear UKC

Please do the right thing and change the TOC qualifiers !
Easter weekend is not the weekend to have them !

I remember one year I hunted an RQE event on Easter Sunday weekend. Grandma was none too pleased that I was late for church AND supper!

Trevor had emailed me back and explained that the clubs hosting the TOC regionals have been scheduled for 4 years now. Also the TOC has been set and contracted for years for this date of April 11-13. So they can not reconsider the dates due to the advanced planning. In short the answer is NO it will not be changed. That is what I understand based on Trevor's email. It now comes down to the individual deciding where their priorities are.

We sure wish it was that simple to change major event dates, but its not. March, April, May are premium months for nite hunts and why we have a major event on most weekend during those months. It's not the reposnse we'd liek to give but, again, easier said than done.

Easter weekend falls on different weekends each year will fall on somone's event every year. In 2024 it will fall on our event date and we'll likely lose a few entries. We expect it. The majority of TOC particpants will have the option of a region within a few hours or less and be in good shape to make it home before sunrise on Sunday morning.
