2023 Autumn Oaks Nite Hunt Info
Today, let's talk about the Autumn Oaks nite hunt. This is one of a kind. It is the only event on UKC's schedule that features a single nite hunt ran over two nights. That means that each dog can only be entered one time over the weekend, and that Saturday night is just a continuation of Friday night.
GRNITECHs have to hunt on Friday night, and the top 16 highest scoring plus point cast winners from that category will advance to the Grand 16 on Saturday night. After two rounds of competition on Saturday night, the National Grand Nite Champion will be crowned. On Sunday morning, there will be 7 National Grand Nite Champions of Breed recognized as well.
Folks having a NITECH or REGISTERED hound have the option to enter on either Friday or Saturday night. On Sunday morning, the cast winners from each night will be combined and the 1st - 5th Nite Champions will be awarded and the 1st - 10th Registered will be awarded.
Since 1960 this event has taken place on Labor Day Weekend and here we are 64 years later carrying on the tradition. All the placements are getting great prizes and that would not be possible without the great sponsors and partners. Be sure to keep these great companies in mind when you are making your purchases: Eukanuba, DogTra, Bright Eyes Lights, Diamond Deluxe /L&M Manufacturing, GT's Feed and Hunting Supply, Kelley's K-Lights, Mule Brand Gear and Apparel, Nite Lite, Okie Dog Supply LLC, Owens Products, Tier 1 Custom Calls, Yoder Nylon and Razor, Briar Creek Kennels Hunting Supplies, and Crystal Hunting Lights.
