This dog is kind of a slow going dog that will get treed and stay treed. I haven't had him long so I haven't hunted him but a couple times and he seems to be about 50/50 on having a coon. He is a close hunting dog and he is definately nothing fancy but would be a good pup trainer or a good kids dog
