Thermals

I have agm 25 and have had it find the meat in alot of trees I would have never found without it. I have seen a few times it wouldn’t pick it up. I was looking at alot of thermals on line and have been told there are a few out there that will absolutely pick them up every time if they are not in a hole. In todays world of competition hunting I would hate to enter my sorry hounds in a hunt and get lucky and have what a new vehicle cost on the line and be up a monster leafy tree with a thermal that could fail you. I also hate hunting young dogs and blowing squallers and shacking vines to see if it’s there. So is there a thermal that you can walk up to the big leafy oak and look over it and it don’t show the meat and you can say it ain’t there? If so which ones are they and what do they cost?

I have often wondered the same thing. I’ll be watching this post to see what responses you get. I often thought about which one the big money winning handlers use. I have a taipan 15 384 and it works better then nothing but isn’t fail proof. A couple guys I know have the Agm 25 and it seems to work a bit better then mine. I will say that mine seems to work great this time of year tho. Not as much heat in the environment makes the coons show out super easy. I didn’t have as much luck with it in the hot humid summer time, it helped but not near as handy as it is now.

I think most use the trig icon. I’ve seen them online for $5000-10,000. Also there are a lot of pulsar for 2-4 k. I just like to know for sure. I don’t have to have the best but if I can buy one for 5k that is as good as one for 10k but just don’t have all the bells and whistles im ok with that. I would love to hear from some people who have used the trigicon and pulsars and what’s the difference.
