spring peepers, up and down three times

Well, I've been keeping track of our frogs, weather and seeing how the old saying of the Peepers have to come up and go down three times for spring to be here..

Going to prove out this year here in Northern, IN.. We've been up and down twice since I heard the first ones on March 15th or so here at home.. We've had two dips into the mid 20's at nights for a few days duration each time that have shut them up pretty much..

Really nice warm up again this past weekend and going back down into the high 20's on the weekend/Monday it appears..

Will be the third time and then let's see if Spring holds..

You all can file this under useless, but interesting info lol..

have a good day.

In the South, we have Spring, then dogwood winter, then blackberry winter and then back to Spring.

Yes sir, we just have a terminology for it. TV weatherman even use this terminology in their forecasting as if it was "scientific" even though I am sure it came from our great great great grandmothers.
