Custom hip boots?

Dose anyone know if some one can customize a boot?
I have something called foot drop that causes me to trip a lot and my ankle is very week so it roll's over a lot, when I am not hunting I am able to wear a brace, the brace will not fit in my hip boot, it's only my right foot.
is it possible to put some kind of water proof zipper about half way down the boot so I can put my brace in?
I know its a long shot, thanks

Where exactly do you need a zipper? On the boot or chap?
Have you tried the Bekinas? They don’t fit like the Lacrosse and other soft calf boots that fit snug. That may be an option for you. I would call Britni at Dirty South Kennel Supply, I bet she can help you find a solution.

Brace

What about a larger brace on the outside of the boot ?

There used to be a guy around here always hunted in sneakers year round. They make some gore tex liners that you could wear to keep your feet dry. Then wear the brace over the liner and in the sneaker.

Outback ..Zipper is not much of option I do not believe..How short does the boot need to be to get said foot and brace in ?..Bunch of the non insulated boots can be cut down a bit and we have chapped 10 inch boots before..Anything shorter and can not get chapped rolled far enough to get foot in with brace or without easily..Single ply chap with a liner and if snakes are bad you can buy snake gators to wrap on outside for added protection.

just say an under amor work boot with a zipper up the side, you might be able to do something with that.
