UKC Headquarters Question

Without stirring the pot to much I'm curious if leaving Michigan is an option since the mail system there is apparently pretty bad?

I hear stories of papers being lost and always thought it was maybe an exaggeration but after dealing with it now on my pups papers I can see that something is wrong. I will add that the chat is a nice feature that allows you to talk with someone to let you know it'll still take a bunch of time to fix your individual issue.

Papers

Not sure what the real problem is, but it’s a joke!! I’ve been trying since February to get a litter registered.They were “lost in the mail “ I sent for duplicates now I guess I’m at the end of the line again. I sent off for my PKC papers and had them in two weeks, That’s customer service!!!

There’s some good people there but something has to change. It can’t all be the post office fault and if it is then move to another state. It took 3 different reps on the chat room to get my email address right when they were looking at it.

I finally got a package today after over 2 months and all it had was a pedigree, no papers or easy entry card. Contacted again on the chat page only to be told my duplicate paper request wouldn’t be processed for another 2-4 weeks. Go figure.

Papers

I sent my pup papers in 2 months ago and finally got them back. But they screwed up on them. They put female on them when its a male. So I tried emailing 3 times calling chat stuff and guess what? No response at all. I used to stick up for them but no more. Totally ridiculous. If they can't contact a person back they might as well close up shop. It doesn't take that long to call , email or something. They can't keep useing covid for everything. What a freaking joke anymore. Thanks ukc for nothing. They can't send papers or contact anybody back but they sure can go to big hunts and thats just fine but use covid as a good excuse for not doing their jobs.

I have heard every excuse and they are just that excuses!
Still have not got my females papers back from the first time I sent them in. They put wrong owner on papers. Resent them good ways back so I could hopefully get them back before pups came. Pups are now 3 weeks old and cannot even register them. Performance LOST in mail I was told no help to make it right. What a headache and a disappointment. I had the same thought as above poster maybe it’s time to leave Michigan and the excuses behind. You cashed my check give me my what I paid for. I am afraid to hit the live chat figured they will tell me they never received the papers. Thought about grabbing my mask and parking myself in the office till I get some papers in my hand. Got to be a better way .

I bought a pup recently and know the breeder has been waiting a couple months for the pup papers. Fortunately I know the guy really well and am not worried about it.... I'll get them when they come. But UKC should not be having these types of problems for sure.

What seems strange is the fact no one from UKC has any input on this post or any others about the incompetence that is being shown.
We know they are reading this and the other posts, do we not deserve any answers from them?
Sure doesn’t seem like a company that’s trying when they do their best to ignore us!

I generally wonder if UKC is in trouble financially.... for their bread-and-butter (registrations) to be struggling this bad, and no response to it, and no real effort to fix it... makes me wonder if this is a company that may not be around much longer?

The mail is slow in Michigan- this just feels like a really sorry excuse, I just can't buy that being the issue. I'm thinking of making sure my dogs are registered with someone else to be safe.

Based on how much $ clubs send them, registration fees, and everything done up at the TOC, I doubt that’s the issue.

I’ve got one for y’all they sent me a bill for the license fee on a yep hunt ...there is no license fee for a yep hunt.the hunt report was lost in the mail and that was a headache to get straight.on the same day I got a bill for a date my club has never had and we did not have a hunt that date.so the mail works one way?

papers

Ive registered a litter this year and transfered ownership on another dog this year with no problems, all papers received in timely manner.

Everyone, we are aware of issues still existing and we understand the frustrations on the part of the customers. We are frustrated as well but you can be assured we are working hard towards fixing any issues we have control of.

Thanks for the reply and my initial post wasn’t a jab at UKC but merely a question. If the mail service is to blame for all your problems then why not relocate to a different area? I couldn’t help but laugh after waiting so long for my papers and when I open the envelope it only had a pedigree in it. Then I get told on the chat line that the duplicate I applied for would take 2-4 weeks to process.

After my post I called ukc I talked to a lady and within a few minutes we had my problem taken care of. I have been working with ukc for a long time now and tell last year had very few problems and some were my fault.

Just wanted to update my post on this. Got my duplicate papers, easy entry card and pedigree in the mail today. The process started on March 15 so almost 3 months later it’s over.

I do think that UKC should look into relocating to another city if the mail set is that bad where they are now. Thanks to all the ladies who worked on getting my problem fixed.

I agree with this and that’s why I asked the question of have they thought of relocating their headquarters. The excuse is always the mail system is screwed up and lost your papers so if that’s true then move to a better location with a better post office. Not all postal locations are the same and the one UKC has to use seems to have something against them to lose all their mail all the time.

I send papers in to get transferd ..took 2 months,, I did the chat online and they told me they were still not in process for transfer,, they had to pull up the original files
The chat on line did not know what they were doing
Cuz I got them with in 4 days after the chat ,,, it’s not not not —- the mail,,,, period
