Hunt Prep

How often or how hard do you hunt a dog when getting it tuned up for a hunt? Is it better to hunt a dog hard and lay it up for a few days leading up or hunt it hard every night all the way up until the hunt

Let your dog tell you how hard it needs to be hunted. If it's a hyper, wound up type that looks better the harder you hunt it, then push right up until you go to town. If its a dog that runs out of gas after a few nights you might want to factor in a couple nights off.
