Garmin Pro 70 ?

It's time to retire my old tri tro trashbraker. I was thinking of getting the pro 70. I can't use the new trashbraker because they thought it would be a good ideal to put a long antenna on it. I use them mostly in the kennel and dogs will chew them off. I was going to get the 6 dog system. For you guys that have the pro 70 anything you don't like about it? Pro's and con's? I was thinking the pro 70 because it looks like it is set up the most like the old trash braker. I used it 20 yrs and am just use to it, I don't like change LOL.

It is the one I got when Garmin stopped Service and batteries for the Tri Tronic 70. That was one heck of a good one that reached out and corrected the trash runners.

Any way I bought the Pro 70 . Like you,I did not like the antenna . And the price was good.
For the yard work I think you will be satisfied. I never have used it but you can set it up as a no-bark too .I like the toner option for training. It also has the tracking light for hunting.

My dogs don't seem to feel anything below #4 stimulus.

VERY VERY VERY disappointed in the range. Advertised as 1 mile. If you remember the TT 70 is 2miles. Well I had a couple times a dog was within 100 yards and the PRO 70 absolutely did not get them
One time dog was running off game it got about 250 yards away and I held the transmitter above my head and it failed to correct the dog .
Another time I was actually in sight about 125 yds and dog showed no reaction . So I am well aware of IT"S LIMITATIONS and no where near 1 mile let alone 100 yard at times
I put up with it but satisfied with it product wise ? NO WAY

Really, that short of rang! Heck my house is on 30 acres. For the money you should get at least 1/2 mile.
