Min. wage In.

Heard on radio....Indiana wants to raise their Min wage to $10.00 and possibly $1.00 a year for next 5yrs to get to $15.00.

Sounds way more thought out than Biden's hours cut/job killing sudden jump to $15.00

But then again Indiana is a RED state!!

Does a nationwide minimum wage make any sense whatsoever? Is the average rent in Los Angelos or New York City the same as the average rent in Chattanooga, Tn? How out of touch can those career politicians be?

Does having one set minimum wage for the whole country make any sense? Do you set it at what makes sense for rural Alabama or what makes sense for New York City?

I'm all for it,just not all at once.
Hours will be cut or jobs eliminated to counter.

doesn't matter one way or other to me.
Local economics will dictate what anyone will work for .
Otherwise employer will never with stand the constant employee turn over.
I said long time ago go for it do it
Will get lot of people off welfare
Will cause inflation and costs to rise on many products.
Inflation will eat away at the extra income in no time
I really believe it is a lie being perpetrated on low income earners.
It will be a tax shift .
Now before the unhinged become unhinged. TAKE A DEEP BREATH .. And just listen and under stand why I say this .
It won't hurt a couple or with kids as bad a say a single person .

My math may be off a little on the exact deductions ,income limits, But will be near enough for you to hopefully get the idea.
I am NOT TRIVIALIZING only Opening some eyes !!

At 8.00 an hour with no over time a person will earn 16,640 per year
This income level will get you....
Housing subsidies to pay rent
food stamps ..Blah blah...(ACCESS CARD)
No premium no deductible free health care ACA
Liheap heating fuel assistance
utility payment subsidies
free internet
Free cellphones
monthly food bank hand outs
rent rebates depending on state
there will be some federal taxes due and depending on state no taxes to about7% last I looked
Total deductions for taxes Medicare,S.S,Local,State ,Unemployment, w/o federal taxes, are just about 11.78% of your income

remember all those other "FREE" help from taxpayers value
Brings that total value to well over 20,000 per year
----------------------------------------------------

At 15.00 an hour with no over time a person will earn 31,200 per year

The rub???
The cost of living will now be shifted to you and your employer .

Now you must pay for your own health care
with annual deductions you never paid at 8 .00 hr
Aproximate annual costs without any care needs .... 2000.00
Increase in taxes to the feds..............................about 1200.00
increase in Misc taxes Apporox .................... About 1750
so these increases are about..............................5000

But wait ,,
what about the rental assistance can only guess
what about the free heating assistance 1000-2000
what about the access card for food annually 1000-2000
No more free cellphone
no more free internet
these two items alone could add yearly costs of 1200 to 1500
---------------------------------------------
All said and done that extra 14000 a year will get ate up through more taxes and give aways you are no longer eligible for.
might/maybe net you about 2000 more per year
(IF YOU DON"T GET SICK)
looks good on pay stub but no much further ahead

gets you off taxpayers hand outs and shifts it to you and employer.
Uncle Sam wins
More tax income paid and less people on government handouts for Sam

Honileah can maybe verify the difference taxes I think If I am mistaken on the taxes
