fishers and hounds

Anyone have trouble with a fisher ripping up their hound. I recently caught one in a live trap. I also had trail camera photos of them before.

Never had a dog get a hold of one but I’ve been in a tree with one twice. Didn’t take me long to get out either time! LOL!

I have had a dog tree one before also, they aren’t real common around here. In 35 years of running hounds that was the only one I have ever encountered.

Treed one once. But that's been only encounter. Like big cats and bears, I think they'd be more likely to climb than fight.

yes

The dog had the fischer in the chest and the fischer had the dog on the top of his muzzle - teeth buried into the muzzle. Neither one letting go. If I get them in a tree, I get the dogs tied way back - for some reason they tend to fall out of the tree.
