Closed tree question

I have a couple of rules questions to make sure i have them all correct.

Regarding a dog treeing on a closed tree.

example: 4 dog cast

1) 3 dogs treed in when treee closes. 1 dog trailing. When you get there a dog not previously treed is treed with other dogs. Possum is seen. You assign that dog 25 tree points and minus him both ways? Also the same with a slick tree? and with a coon?

2) If same dog comes in AFTER the judge arrives and comes and starts treeing then the dogs points are deleted if its a slick or a possum? but takes minus on a coon? and only for strike points correct?

Question #1 on off game or slick trees in registered cast dog is minused it's strike points (unless shut out then strike points are deleted) and minused -25 points on tree. Just minus strike points if coon is seen. Off game tree for champion cast dog is scratched.

Question #2
Dog that came in after judge on off game, slick and circle trees gets it's strike points circled Rule 5(b) If a coon is seen then the late dog gets minused it's strike Rule 4(a).

Right

Jen is right like usual. I will add if in example 2 the cast has already voted on how to score the tree. Regardless of what is or is not up the tree. It is a perviously scored tree at that point. Nothing on tree and strike points deleted, even in champ class with a possum.

I was going to ask my in house expert when he got home to verify but thought it was all correct.

6 f) In Champion Division casts; for running, treeing or
molesting off game (off game must be seen) during
hunting time including any time out periods prior
to the expiration of hunt time (exception 5b). In the
event the off game is a squirrel seen in a tree and 2)
the tree is an obvious den tree, refer to Rule 5(d).
Birds are not considered off game.

5 h) When dog trees on a tree or coon previously
scored. (Cast may go to tree without dogs being
declared treed, if majority of cast agree, when
hunting Judges are used.)

here is the gray with rule 5(h) if you see the wording it say's coon not off game. Hopefully Allen will clarify this part of the ruling.

Or

Tree or coon
It's been discussed in the past. I had to call Allen then and a perviously scored tree is that regardless of what is up it. I don't agree with this rule at all, but that's what it is. They can also tree a possum, or for that matter come packing him in as soon as hunt time is up. Not my thought of a champ, but that's the rules. Unless they changed with the new rules. If not needs changed next time rules are set.

The reference of "tree" and "coon" in 5(h) is to 1) cover any dog returning to a previously scored "tree" AND 2, the "coon" part) to also cover a dog that might return to a previously scored coon that had been caught.

That said, the type of game (coon, off game, slick, circle, etc) in the tree is irrelevant when it comes to dogs returning to a previously scored tree.
