Collar question

I have 2 Garmin collars both bought new same time everything’s supposedly the same. One picks up way better than the other. Just wondering why.

check

the antenna connection on the one with less range.. Possible the transmitter power of the one may be lower than it should be too. You would need help from a pro to check transmitter power.

Do a master reset on everything. Handheld and collars.

.

Could you give more detail on way better. few hundred yards, or half mile or one in and out while other is in constant?

I would hang them both on a bush and drive down the road while checking the GPS and VHF signals on the hand held and see what signal your loosing. If you can't determine anything and they are less than a year old you have a warranty you can use to return the one the is not working.

Bruce

It only happens at long range around 1000 yards I will lose this one collar and the other will keep picking up. They are tt 10’s a few years old and the one has always picked up better and usually quite a bit.

collar trouble

I have one that starts losing signal at about 200 - 300 yards...may show dog for 30 seconds and then lose signal for 5 minutes...Started doing this just after I had it up-dated by Garmin at the Winter Classic …. If you go to the information page it show no Comm. bars or maybe 1 bar...ANY ADVISE ???
