Why

Why would UKC do away with the win slips and make everyone use a workbook with a signature? This doesn't make much sense to me. takes a new level to a poor boy hunt.

This is not mandatory. If you the owner decides they want such a record-keeping book they are available. Signatures of the event official would not be mandatory either but might make it look more official, if that's what you want.
