Dog’s eating grass & not putting on any weight.

I’ve wormed her & I’ve even switched her food to a higher fat content. Now all she want to do is eat grass when I drop her out. Any ideas as to what’s wrong or why she’s doing this guys? Thanks.

give Probios a try... its a probiotic paste. it should help her get her gut back healthy- you can get it at Walmart for like $5 a tube... i think they make dog treats too but i always have some of the paste on stand by for the horses

Seems like grass wouldn't help gain weight. I would feed her dog food!

I have seen dogs do this after being hauled in the Dog Box,,, ( eating Grass ).......maybe a little sick at her stomach from being hauled ?
As far as not putting weight on.....what kind of Dog Food are you feeding ?
I would say some type of Tape Worm possibly.....
Let us know what Vet says.
Good Luck
Tim

How many animals on this earth can you think of that doesn't eat grass? Keep a dog up on concrete, turn it out and watch it eat grass. My dogs are healthy and slick and they eat grass and I don't see them throw it up very often. Have even seen them eat grass bedding in the doghouse and didn't throw it up, I know, I see it in their waste when I clean the kennel. It has nutrients and vitamins that they need. jmo
