Show Judges

Our sons 6&8 yrs old like to show as well as hunt,They both enjoy the challenge of "showin with the big boys" as they put it. The show benches at the clubs are to tall for them as we have took stools for them to stand on to set their dogs up. Would it be ok if I built shorter benches for them to show on so we dont have to worry about the stools slippin and our kids fallin? If so,what dimensions do they have to be? They are in the Youth Events, but they love winnin against the "big boys" Lol
Thanks

Bench Dimensions

22. Dogs must be benched. The bench on which the
dogs shall be shown must be two (2) feet high and
eighteen (18) inches wide with the top covered with
indoor/outdoor carpeting or some similar non-slip
surface. (Dogs stand well on rough material while
they tend to “cow down” on a slippery or smooth
surface). Individual benches of a minimum length
of 44 inches are recommended. If the benches do
not meet these standards, the Judge shall still allow
the show to be held, but should instruct the club to
correct the problem and notify UKC that the benches
do not meet the standards
