ATV box

Tried to search this but due to the 4 letter search rule it won't let me. Looking at building or buying an ATV box. Anyone have ideas or pics of boxes they have bought or built? Prefer a lightweight box in the range of 20x36 or close to it. Thanks.

Send me your number and I'll text you some pictures our some of the boxes my son and I build. I'm tired of trying to post picture on here. It don't have to be so difficult.

2x2 frame and 1/4" plywood. Bolted to my rack with small U bolts. Its 46" wide or so (rack width), full rack deep, and 24" interior height. I also built a rail on top of it to throw the gun and coons etc. Its nice and light.

Its got rigging holes and a door out the back. Fits 2 dogs easy.

If you silicone the seams and paint it its lasts in the weather, I sprayed the roof and rails with bed liner also.

Built one for my honda atv and then a few years later i got a SxS and built another box in the same fashion.

That's what I used when I had a 4 wheeler, but be careful. 2 dogs in the back and go up a hill or give it to much gas will flip you backwards!

Good call Joey - i had the box set too far back originally and it was squirrelly with one dog in it.. I'd recommend it to one dog and make sure you adjust it over the rack where it does not throw off the equilibrium of the machine.

with one dog, set like this it rides very well, but i am in pretty flat, even terrain.

I keep kicking around a side by side, but when i price out the one I want (just shy of 15K) I just can't force myself to write the check!!
Shoot i can buy a decent pick up truck for that!

i ran these plastic crates from walmart in the bed of my small truck for awhile, in my opinion they are complete garbage, not what they are made for

if you put a 70 lb hound in one and a ratchet strap over the top by the time you get it tight enough the crate isnt gna move around then the plastic around the doors flex so bad its a pain in the butt open and closing the doors, just what i have found out

just buy some 3/4 plywood and a finish nailer and build a nice box, i built mine for around 70 bucks and its way lighter, thats a two hole box for a small truck i think it was 38 wide and 20 deep, text me if you want pics
