Shane Maxey

Where is "the Outlaw"? It has surely been 30 days now. Shane, we miss you. It has been too boring for the last month. Slick Jesse has tried to keep things going but he just isn't the same. I see where you have a new dog to promote so come on back.

C'mon back Shane. I know it probably seems like everyone is against you but we are just playing around. We really like you. You are good for the Redbone breed. Not only are you producing nice dogs but you are promoting them. You have generated a lot of new "interest" in these Redbones. We wouldn't pick on you if we didn't like you. Besides I know that you can take it without getting too mad. I promise to be nicer in the future. (Well as nice as I can be)

I don't mind people disagreeing with my way of doing things in this sport and the Redbone Breed. There are different ways to reach the same common goals so that's fine.
But it gets real old having a target on my back the same few people always trying to pick a fight because they cannot rationally debate things important to this breed without resorting to name calling and threats. I seem to be a magnet for those kind of people....and for a few years now I have had to also deal with a biased board moderator who doesn't like me personally and seems to get a kick out of wielding a heavy hand more freely towards me than others who are much more deserving of it.
This board is suppose to be for promoting and supporting the Redbone Breed and a platform for discussing the great things going on within it. A place where people of differing ideas can share information and learn from each other.
But for me and a few others it's become more like a shooting gallery where every time we post anything...we open the door for an attack by a critic who is intent not on having a rational debate of an important topic....but drawing me into an argument so that a biased moderator can manufacture a reason to admonish or punish someone they don't like personally. It has been going on for a couple of years now and it just gets old.
I'm still working with other like minded people who want to see this breed reach new heights in competition and we continue to make progress in our breeding program. Our team of great people seems to grow a little bigger with every cross we make and I continue to see good progress.
I have always liked this board for information and sharing ideas with other Redbone people...but have found myself communicating more and more with Redbone people on Facebook this past year. There are some good Redbone groups on there and no biased moderators and I have yet to see an argument break out on any issue or topic being discussed. I have started to post most.of my videos and information about our dogs and the crosses ee are planning or making over on Facebook as well so I would encourage anyone who follows the breed to make a Facebook account and check out all the different Redbone groups on there...its a different environment and a place where people can find a lot of good people, pics, videos, and other information.
I continue to think that things are looking up in this breed and that we have made some great progress in recent years. Hope everyone can make it to the breed days hunts and I hope to see everyone there. Good luck to everyone and their Redbone this summer.

When are y'all going to make the official announcement? I hear that Slick has been honored by UKC with a new title. Surely y'all weren't planning on keeping it a secret.

That's great to hear Donnie... I have heard reports on 3 others from that litter that sound similar so it looks like that cross may turn out some nice ones. B.j. is out at Randy Ficken's house right now and was bred to Rocky a few days ago.
Keep me posted on your pup...thanks

Jesse Boley MOH......... I guess that I had better start sucking up. Do we need to start addressing you as "your honor"? I guess that you Modern Day Outlaws decided that you needed your own MOH so you could have your own hunts now.

Your honor, how much do you charge to fix it so that I could win? Since I don't have one of those high powered dogs, I need some help.
