Birdseye

Just bought a new alpha. I downloaded the base camp. I went threw the wizard with alpha plugged in. Plotted out my hunting spots on the map and downloaded them. I checked my alpha and can't find the plots I downloaded. Any help please!!

Are they on basecamp? It is hard to give an answer because I don't know exactly what you did. Not sure what you mean PLOTTED YOUR HUNTING SPOTS. Did you download birdseye for those areas. You Download base camp with your ALPHA plugged in and it is wise to put a SD card in the ALPHA and send the Birdseye to the card. Read carefully and make sure you have it marked to upload to the sd card and not the handheld. So many peoples problems stem from so much being uploaded to the alpha and most don't even realize they are doing it.

Kind of like your truck. Put a ton of bricks in there you can't see and don't know is there and then put another ton and wonder what it is sluggish.

I'm technology dumb. I just downloaded the basecamp and clicked the download Birdseye at top of screen, and went threw the wizard where it identified my alpha. It had me select my hunting spots on the map on basecamp and download them. I left alpha plugged up and it said completed. It doesn't have a sd card.

OK then you have the birdseye files on your base camp program. You should see the maps and on the left under my collections you should see them listed. I would suggest getting a card and installing it in the alpha and then opening or electing them and send them to the card. I am not sure if somewhere between where you started and finished it didn't already ask you where to send the files and you told it to send to your alpha.

On your alpha go to the map page and then select menu bars and go to bottom and then select restore default. that should take you back to your map page. Maybe you will see some birdseye then. What resolution did you check for the download. low medium or high.

I reset to default on map. Still didn't see any Birdseye. Id say it didn't download. Are they a file of the downloads on the alpha itself? I'll try getting a sd card this week and redoing it.

Look at your download list. Right click the spot you want to send to your handheld. Go to "send to" select the handheld or sd card whichever ur using. It will take a minute or two to copy them onto the jandheld but not near as long as it takes to download em

Thanks. Them others were taking forever to download. I had to leave them plugged in and go to work. I never seen anywhere that it said to choose between alpha and sd card though. It was my first try at it.
