Sharon Meeks Memorial Hunt 2017
South Carolina Leopard Sectional: Hosted by Abbeville Coon Club
February 3rd and 4th 2017
The Sharon Meeks Memorial Hunt is named after a dear friend of the Leopard breeders and hunters. Sharon was associated with the Leopard Hound for 35 years by either cooking for the two local clubs or taking membership fees at the Grand American and Winter Classic to just about anything else the Leopard Association needed. Not to mention, helping Lamar out while doing these things. She kept her own Leopards and promoted them as well.
Friday will be a Leopard only event with treeing contest, bench show, competition hunt and buddy hunt.
Saturday will be a UKC event that is open to all breeds. Saturday will also feature a treeing contest, bench show, and competition hunt.
King/Queen of the hunt will be crowned on Saturday based on the high scoring Leopard from Friday and Saturday night combined. King/Queen of the Show will be crowned based on Saturday’s bench show winners with the two top Leopards.
Prizes will be awarded on both nights for treeing contest, bench show and competition hunts. We would like to thank Red Fern Hunting Supplies for donating several prizes.
Lamar Meeks has donated 2 puppies that will be raffled off on Saturday. Tickets may be purchased on Friday and Saturday.
Deadlines for both days are as follows: Bench Show 4:00 pm, Treeing Contest 5:00 pm and Hunt 6:00 pm.
