If/when you buy/get a Garmin handheld or collar, make sure that you hook it up to a computer and register it with Garmin International.
I lost my handheld about 6 weeks ago. I got a call from Garmin yesterday saying that someone had found it and called them. They knew that it was mine from the serial # that I had registered. I got it back today.
