Indiana Season Opens Tonight

Light and garmins are charged, boots are dry and ready, dogs are feed and ready, truck is full of gas, rifle is dusted off. Got to ice down a cooler(water and soda), get some snacks together. The toughest thing to do yet is wait for darkness!

This night is always special, myself, dad and my son all will be heading to the timber to chase Ol Ricky! 3 generations hunting together and having a blast following some dogs! Hope everyone has a safe and great hunt tonight or any night!

I hope nobody tells the coons, I'm hunting one that is easily snookered.

Opener

My favorite time of year! Me n my 10 year old daughter went out last night. Made 3 trees slick, den, and a single. Dog was a little rusty but did a nice job on the last one. Luv hunting with my little girl she's a real trooper!

Miss it

I sure miss hunting Indiana. I lived in Indiana for 9 years and hunted it and loved it every year I was there. I still have friends there though it's been sense 1989 when I lived there. Some of the most premier hunting I've ever done, easy too. Now I'm in WV and have to climb these dang hills every night although we do have a fairly good coon population now. Good luck to all my Indiana friends and please be safe.

On another note

I was very glad to c we passed the public question on adding hunting and fishing to the Indiana bill of rights last night . Big win for us Hoosier hunters! Think I'll go celebrate by knocken a couple out to my biscuit eater tonight.
